dwelling place. place of residence. refuge. place of safety and rest. a place where you belong.
our church exists to be a home for Jesus' presence individually and collectively, to be a place for a spiritual family that creates a legacy, and to be a space for the prodigal locally and globally.
we find throughout scripture that God's heart is to find a home in us and for his people to find a home in him. we as humans, all of us, are looking for a space to call home. that feeling of being lost can only be fulfilled in a person and his name is Jesus.
here at our church our culture is simple. we are a home that carries Jesus' presence because he comes where he's wanted. we are a home for family because it's all about the people. we are a home for growth and we always make room for more. we are a home for servanthood since we are contributors not consumers. we are a home of mission, and we always stop for the one. lastly we are a home for healing, not just external change but healing from the inside out.
our heart is to be a people that create a place where Jesus finds home, to find our life, our future, and our home in Jesus. to be a people that reach cities all across our state so others can find a home in Jesus. so this is our prayer: come holy spirit, find a home in us, in pursuit of revival and transformation. to be a home for you Jesus, and to be a home for the people of lathrop.
